2014-03-05 - Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash on Beavercreek road early this morning around 3am. Responding crews found a car crashed into a power pole which caused power disruption to local neighborhoods. The driver was later arrested for suspected drunk driving.
On Tuesday March 4th at 3:21am Clackamas County dispatch received a call of a car crashed into power pole on Beavercreek road near Dans Avenue. Arriving deputies found a 2000 Cadillac Seville crashed into a power pole. The vehicle impacted with enough force to shear the pole off, causing power lines to drop across the road. The damaged caused a loss of power in surrounding neighborhoods.
The driver, Kyle Douglas Rosenlof, 23 of Beavercreek, was driving alone and did not sustain any injuries during the crash.
During the investigation, Sheriff’s deputies noted signs of impairment on Mr. Rosenlof. He was arrested and transported to the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUI).
According to the Portland General Electric website, power should be restored by 11:30am.
